Starting a blog is like getting the keys to a brand new house. It’s absolutely thrilling, but you still need to cleanup after the builders and put in a lot of work before the place can become a home and a pleasure to share with friends and guests. At least, this time there is no mortgage to pay!
This particular blog will be the home of a children’s story for ages 4 and up. Don’t You Get into Trouble! is the tale of a little girl called Gwen who sets out for a walk in the ‘woods where adventures are born’, promising her mother she will be back home safe and sound just in time for tea.
Will Gwen be able to keep her word? Or will Mum regret letting her daughter wander off into the woods on her own? All will be revealed in due course, so be sure to watch this space!
In the meantime, I must get back to work on some interior decoration and the many other tasks that await, including the search for a talented children’s illustrator who will fall in love with this story and bring it to life.
And so the tale begins!
(Actually it all started a little over two years ago, when the idea for this story popped into my head while I was doing one of the most mind-numbing chores imaginable – shopping for groceries. But how that happened and what sparked off my little brainwave will be a story for another time. See ya!)
